ABOUT
I'm sharing this process to show you how important it is to know in advance what you want and that not every collaboration goes smoothly, but can still end in a end result you're happy with.

LOGO, ICON + BANNERS
Annemarie's old logo, with which she indicated: I'd like a colorful design (but no neon or too bright colors). The colors of the flag line I use on my blog are good. I need 2 variations, one for the blog (Annemarie's haakblog) and Etsy shop (My Crochet shop).

I started sketching and send here a few proposals:
(from left to right: logo, blog banner, icon and shop banner)

I checked out the designs, let them sink in, but I realized I'm looking for something else. I'd like a portrait like your Daily Anke who blows a dandelion that consists of crochet-diagrams icons. If possible, please also add a little cat.

I had no problem using the Daily Anke style, since this is just a 'for fun' project for me. She send me a photo of herself and based on that I sketched a few variations of styles to let her choose from (let letters are just so she could easily indicate which one she liked) and a few example applications.

Annemarie wanted to quit because she just didn't know what she wanted and didn't want to waste my time. But I ensured her that it's totally ok if we don't get it right on the first try, she wasn't the toughest client I've ever had, by far! Luckily I was able to convince her and we continued.

I like the black and white version best, but I'd prefer she hold some balls of yarn, the cat and dandelion can go. The crochet needle can be a color, so it stands out more. I like to use the girl as a profile picture, but don't need it in the banner, maybe you draw some balls of yarn?

I really like the girl, but could you change the crochet needle to black? It was more visible like that. The balls of yarn are great, but can be colored. About the banner, I'm not sure and I don't know exactly why. The colors are good, illustrations and font too, but it not it yet.

I edited the icon and send her an example application of the banner, to hopefully help figuring out what was missing/wrong.

I really do still like the flag idea better, so is it possible to re-create the flag banner like the old one, but in the new style?

POSTCARD
I would like it if it's something with the girl you drew.

Really cute, but can the girl be on the front?

Can you show a bit more of the girl who's rolling up a ball of yarn that originates from a sheep.

Can you make the background of the front light pink. The shirt of the girl the same color, also close her mouth, like the avatar and turn the body of the sheep into a bunch of balls of yarn.

END RESULT
The Facebook cover (bottom image) is editable, she can update to a new image with the flags and name staying in place.
